Inquest opens into death of Anthony Laskier, from Orpington, who died on M25 near Junction 4
An inquest has opened into the death of a motorcyclist who died in a crash on the M25. Anthony Laskier was riding his BMW bike on the busy motorway when it was "struck in the rear by a van".

The collision with a white Ford Transit happened near Junction 4 of the orbital network on December 17, at around 4.35pm. Emergency services were called to the scene and closed the busy stretch of road for 11 hours.
Police later confirmed the 69-year-old, from Orpington, had died at the scene. Today (January 9), an inquest into his death was opened at Oakwood House in Maidstone. Area corner Katrina Hepburn told the hearing he died from "neck and chest injuries" after his bike was "struck in the rear by a van".

Ms Hepburn added that due to a ongoing police investigation she has suspended the full inquest for at least 28 days.
Anthony's widow, Debbie Laskier, previously paid tribute to her husband[1] who had been described a "beautiful soul".
She said: "Our hearts are broken as we share the loss of our beloved Anthony Laskier. "Tony was a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and laughter touched everyone who knew him. "Taken from us far too soon in a road traffic collision, his absence leaves an unimaginable void in our lives.
"We ask for privacy as we grieve and remember the beautiful soul who brought so much love and joy to our world. "Forever in our hearts." Police are continuing to appeal for any information.
