Jack-knifed lorry crash shuts dual carriageway

A crash involving three lorries has closed a stretch of a dual carriageway.
It happened on the A34 northbound between the M4 and Junction 13 for Chieveley in Berkshire and the A4185 near Chilton, Oxfordshire at about 02:10 GMT.
National Highways said one of the HGVs had jack-knifed and ended up down an embankment.
It said no injuries had been reported.
Traffic is being diverted off the A34 onto the M4.
The outside lane on the southbound carriageway has been closed as the crash has also damaged a 200m (656ft) stretch of the central reservation barrier.
National Highways said recovery was work was under way but the process would be "significantly more challenging and slower" for the jack-knifed HGV.
Once the HGV has been cleared, the northbound carriageway is expected to reopen but lane two will remain closed in both directions into Saturday for the stretch of barrier to be fixed.
Thames Valley Police said the cause of the crash was under investigation and no arrests had been made.
