Live M6 updates as flipped lorry in bushes and trucker in hospital

A trucker has been taken to hospital after his lorry ended up on its roof in bushes off the M6. Emergency services were scrambled to the southbound around Junction 14 this morning. Live motorway cameras show a lorry on its roof in bushes off the main carriageway.

Meanwhile the incident has resulted in the southbound entry slip road at Junction 14 being closed off. The collision occurred at around 10.20am. Two fire engines were among the emergency services scrambled to the scene.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the M6 southbound between Junction 14 and 13 following reports of an overturned lorry. Two crews attended the scene and worked to make the vehicle safe. "The driver, a man in his 40s, was left in the care of paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service."
