Long delays on A14 between Needham Market and Ipswich

Traffic cameras were showing slow traffic eastbound, between junctions 51 for Needham Market and 54 for Sproughton. The delays were causing delays of 36 minutes and increasing, with slip roads and nearby routes also building up with traffic as people look to avoid the A14. Suffolk police said that they were called to the A14 near Sproughton to reports of a broken-down lorry in lane one.

The lorry is awaiting a tyre fitter. Also on the A14, a car was broken down at the start of the Woolpit offslip, which is affecting the live lane. Suffolk police were called to this at 7.52am.

Delays have now cleared on the A14.
