M20 crash delays amid chaos on roads as heavy rain batters Kent
There were delays on the M20 following a crash as heavy rain batters Kent this morning. All traffic was temporarily held London-bound following the three-vehicle collision, involving a BMW, near Junction 10a for Ashford.

Recovery work is now complete. Kent Police has confirmed it was called just after 8am, and officers attended the scene.
No injuries were reported. Meanwhile, pictures show a car engulfed in flames on the A229 link road eastbound, near the turn-off for the M2 in Chatham. There was previous congestion around Blue Bell Hill with two lanes closed on the link road between the Lord Lees roundabout and the Taddington roundabout.
All lanes reopened at around 10am. One fire engine attended the scene at around 7.45am, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
It comes as a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office[1].

Meanwhile, on the A249, there was queueing traffic due to an accident and surface water southbound on the underpass through the Bobbing Roundabout.
The A262 Biddenden Road was partially blocked in both directions[2] after a lorry struck a tree near the junction with Ashford Road, just after 4.30am. The road reopened at around around 9.30am. Halls Hole Road in Tunbridge Wells is blocked in both directions from Mouseden Farm to Cornford Lane, with queueing traffic due to a fallen tree.
