M25 crash LIVE: Major UK motorway closes stretch after car flips across lanes

A major crash on a section of the M25 has forced the partial closure of the busy motorway. Two of the four lanes on the anti-clockwise section at junction 30 have been closed after a van overturned in Essex. Essex Police, Essex Fire Service and the East of England Ambulance Service are at the scene.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "Severe delays and two lanes closed due to overturned van on M25 anticlockwise after J30 A282 (Lakeside / Purfleet). Congestion is stretched back through the Dartford tunnels to J2 (A2 Darenth interchange)."

Traffic has backed up for around five miles following the crash, with drivers facing delays of up to 45 minutes.
