M6 scene of devastation as 999 crews scrambled to this flipped truck

Police have warned of rush-hour delays on the M6 as a recovery operation gets underway after a truck left the motorway and ended up on its roof. Cops, firefighters, and paramedics were all scrambled to the southbound carriageway near Junction 14 this afternoon where a lorry left the road and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.
But officers with Staffordshire Police's road crime team say the driver, who was taken to hospital, managed to escape with 'minor injuries'. It has resulted in the southbound entry slip-road being closed at Junction 14.
Now road crime team (RCT) officers have warned of rush-hour delays as a recovery operation continues.
During the height of the incident and all traffic had to be temporarily stopped.
A spokesperson for the RCT, who shared an image from the scene, said: "Today we have attended a single vehicle RTC on the M6 at Junction 14. We would like to thank those who were caught up in our closures whilst we dealt with the incident along with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue, West Midlands Ambulance Service and National Highways There will be delays this evening whilst the vehicle is recovered, please plan for these delays. The driver has been taken to hospital with minor injuries."

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the M6 southbound between Junction 14 and 13 following reports of an overturned lorry.
Two crews attended the scene and worked to make the vehicle safe.
"The driver, a man in his 40s, was left in the care of paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service."
