Man sadly dies in A15 collision as police appeal for information

A 56-year-old man has sadly died following a fatal road traffic collision on the A15[1] yesterday (Monday, January 12).
According to police[2], it is reported that at around 9.50am, a HGV travelling on the northbound carriageway collided with a pedestrian near to the Horkstow Road overhead.
Emergency services attended, however a 56-year-old man sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "If anyone witnessed the incident, has any information including CCTV or dashcam footage, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 107 of 12 January 2026."
At the time, motorists were advised to avoid the area by police[3] and the road was shut for several hours between the A1077 at Barton-upon-Humber and the B1206.
