A man has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash. Cambridgeshire[1] Police were called to the A141 near Wimblington petrol station on Thursday (January 29) following reports of a crash involving a car and a HGV.

The police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries.

He was taken to hospital for further treatment. The road was closed to allow for the emergency services to take care of the incident.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "This morning, we were called to the A141 near Wimblington petrol station with reports of a two-vehicle collision between a car and a HGV.

"Officers worked together with East of England Ambulance Service NHS[2] Trust to ensure those involved were okay.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries and has been taken to hospital for further treatment.

"Thank you for the patience of the other road users whilst we attended to this collision, and the road has now been re-opened."
