Person cut free from car after crash with lorry in Hythe Road, Ashford
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to cut an injured woman out of a car after it collided with a lorry. Hythe Road in Ashford was shut last night at the junction with Church Road, near Budgens.

Ambulance crews, police and two fire engines were called to the scene, where one person was treated by paramedics. A fire service spokesperson said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a crash involving a car and a lorry in Willesborough, Ashford.
"Two fire engines attended the scene on Hythe Road. "Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to remove a car door, freeing one person who was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics." The route is open this morning.
A police spokesman added: "We were called at 7.52pm yesterday to a collision involving a lorry and a car in Hythe Road, Willesborough. "Officers, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene where a woman was treated for injuries.
"She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention. "The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened at around 10pm."
The woman's injuries are not described as life-threatening.
