Police under investigation for teen’s death on M5 will face no disciplinary action

TWO Somerset police officers under investigation after a teen escaped from a police car on the M5 and was killed by another vehicle will face no disciplinary action.
Tamzin Ellen Hall, from Henlade, Somerset, sustained fatal injuries when she was struck by a car on the M5 between junction 25 at Taunton and 24 at Bridgwater shortly after 11pm on November 11, 2024. Paramedics attended the motorway within minutes, pronouncing Tamzin dead at the scene.
Following this, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) launched a full investigation and had previously served the officers who were transporting her with misconduct notices for a potential breach of their duties and responsibilities. Advertisement
