Two arrested after baby is found in 'serious, life-threatening condition' in March[1]

Two people were arrested on suspicion of causing serious harm to a baby. Police were called by the ambulance service at about 11am last Saturday to St John's Chase in March, where medics were already treating a baby boy in a serious, life-threatening condition. The baby was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Fenland residents can have say on improvement plans for Whittlesea Railway Station[2]

A council is inviting residents and businesses to take part in the next stage of consultation on the future regeneration of a railway station.
In October, Fenland District Council launched a survey on how people use the Whittlesea station to help unlock funding for improvements. Now the council would like people's views on the options for improvement, which include a new pedestrian bridge, platform extensions, improved public areas and car park. A woman was jailed for more than two years after financial data linked her to a drug-dealing enterprise.
Whitney-Marie Walker, 23, was arrested at her home on Mill Road in West Walton on June 19, 2024, alongside her partner Fred Cook. Cook, 22, was jailed in May this year for five-and-a-half years for drug offences and acquiring criminal property. A teenager who was not wearing a seatbelt died as a result of chest injuries after a head-on crash with bus, a coroner found.
Police were called to the collision between a silver Mazda MX-5 and a Scania double-decker on the A47 at Guyhirn on May 31 last year at around 2.45pm.
Nojukas Korzeniauskas, 18, of Cygnet Crescent in March, was pronounced dead at the scene. Walpole Cross Keys pupil bags top prizes in King's Lynn estate agent's story writing competition[5]

It was a very happy start to the new year for one pupil who was presented with his prizes after winning a writing competition. Matthew Edwards, a pupil at Walpole Cross Keys Primary School, found out just before Christmas that his winning story would be read out by none other than Sir Stephen Fry, on Radio West Norfolk.
His story, Edwin's Christmas Wish, introduces readers to a cheetah who lives in Africa and dreams of snow. Santa Claus heard all about his wish and helped to make it come true in the entry to the competition arranged by Lynn estate agent Russen and Turner.
Multiple vehicles seized during police patrols in March, Whittlesey and Chatteris[6]

Four vehicles, including an e-scooter and lorry, were seized in one night while officers were on patrol. Fenland neighbourhood officers had a busy night focusing on one of their current priorities - tackling vehicle-related anti-social behaviour and traffic offences in March, Whittlesey and Chatteris town centres.
As well as the e-scooter that was seized in March, they also took a lorry off the road in Doddington for no insurance after it was found to be displaying false plates.
