Woman arrested after cyclist dies in crash

A woman has been arrested after a man died in a crash involving a car and a cyclist.

Wiltshire Police said the 64-year-old cyclist died after the collision on the A350 near Lacock at about 05:00 GMT on Tuesday.

A 38-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and suspicion of causing serious injury by drug driving.

She remains in police custody.

The force said road closures remains in place between the junction for Whitehall Garden Centre and Melksham Road to allow further investigations to take place.

Police said the man's next of kin had been informed and urged anyone with dash cam footage or anyone who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
