A167 between Topcliffe and Busby Stoop closed due to crash

Emergency services were called to the A167 near Topcliffe at 6.20am this morning (Tuesday) to reports of a lorry carrying livestock which had overturned with the driver stuck in the cab Crews from Thirsk Fire Station[1] and Ripon Fire Station[2] released the driver through the sunroof of the cab using crew power. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Please be aware there is a road closure on the A167 between Topcliffe and Busby Stoop.
"Please avoid the area if you can, and use alternative routes where possible while emergency services work at the scene.
"Thank you for your understanding."
