A car has overturned after a crash involving a lorry.
Merseyside Police received a report at 12.10pm today, Wednesday, February 25, of a crash involving a black Fiat Panda and a white Mercedes lorry on Queens Drive, heading towards Bootle[1], near Charley Road in Wavertree[2].
Road closures remain in place in the surrounding area, from Rocky Lane to Five Ways, while emergency services deal with the incident.
Images from the scene show the black car overturned[3] on its roof in front of the lorry. Arriva North West[4] warned passengers of disruption and diversions.
Posting on X, the bus operator said: "Due to the closure of Queens Drive between Thingwall and Fiveways, Service 81/a and 61 will continue the normal route from Bootle to The Rocket and then divert via Thingwall Road, Childwall Road and resume service from Childwall Priory Road."
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: "A5058 Queens Drive Southbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Thingwall Road to B5178 Childwall Road (Childwall Five Ways Roundabout)."
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
