Live: Huge M5 queues in Gloucestershire after lorry crash covers motorway with stones

The M5 in Gloucestershire remains partially closed this evening after kerb stones spilled onto the motorway during a crash. Reports of the incident between junctions 9 and 10 came in at around 11.20am today (Thursday, February 12). In an update at 5.17pm, National Highways advised of 45-minute delays on the approach.
Damage has been caused to the barrier as a result of the crash and one lane remains closed in both directions between Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. National Highways has said: "Lane 3 (of 3) remains closed in both directions on the M5 between J10 Cheltenham and J9 Tewkesbury following a single vehicle collision causing barrier damage. "This will remain in place throughout the day.
Delays have increased to 45 minutes on approach." It previously advised that "clear-up of the vehicle's load of kerb stones is required". Traffic monitoring website, Inrix, advises: "Long delays and one lane closed due to shed load of kerb stones and accident, lorry involved on M5 in both directions from J10 A4019 (Cheltenham) to J9 A46 (Tewkesbury). "Congestion to J11 (Gloucester) for traffic heading Northbound.
Lane three (of three) is closed in both directions to assist."
