Lorry and car crash closes part of A14 in Cambridgeshire

A crash involving a lorry and car closed part of a major A-road in Cambridgeshire[1] this morning (February 19). One lane was closed on the A14 eastbound between J25 B10150 Hattons Road at Bar Hill to J31 of the M11 at Girton just before 7am. As a result, traffic was slow and queueing along the road.

Cambridgeshire Police attended the scene. A police spokesperson said: "We were called at about 6.45am this morning to the A14/M11 Girton Interchange to reports of a collision between a lorry and a car. There were no injuries and no arrests."

All lanes have now reopened along the road. Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on A14 Eastbound from J25 B1050 Hattons Road (Bar Hill) to J31 M11 J14 (Girton / Cloverleaf Interchange). Previous congestion to Huntingdon Road (A1307)."
