A major road was shut for over 10 hours following an incident with a lorry

  • Reports described a significant emergency service presence following an incident involving a large lorry that had overturned near the Newtown bypass roundabout.
  • Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that they received a report of the overturned lorry just before 1.35pm on Wednesday, February 18, prompting a response to the scene.
  • The incident occurred near the Newtown bypass roundabout on the approach towards Welshpool, where the lorry had come to rest on its side, leading to disruption in the area.
  • No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
