M25 Essex delays as work continues after lorry crash
The delays are on the M25 anti-clockwise between Junction 28 for the A12 at Brentwood and Junction 30 for Lakeside and Purfleet, where a lane remains closed. The closure is to allow for emergency repairs to the nearside barrier, which was damaged in a collision involving two lorries.
One lorry reportedly suffered a blow out and left the carriageway, bringing down power cables. Lanes two, three and four remain open, with only the first lane closed for repairs. National Highways is urging motorists to allow extra time for their journeys.
AA Traffic Maps are showing delays of up to 33 minutes in the affected area, with average speeds reduced to just 10mph.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon and continues to cause significant disruption during this morning's rush hour.
