Drivers are warned of delays throughout the evening after M5 crash

1. Lane three on the M5 will remain closed in both directions in Gloucestershire after a crash caused barrier damage earlier today. National Highways said the lane will remain closed throughout this evening into tonight as emergency repair work is carried out.
2. Kerb stones spilled onto the motorway between junction 10 and 9 after a crash around 11.20am this morning (Thursday, February 12). Drivers have faced major delays on the motorway all day, with 45-minute waits at rush-hour.
3. National Highways said they needed to carry out "clear up of the vehicle's load of kerb stones".

   Damage to the barrier between Cheltenham and Tewkesbury now means repair work must be carried out.

4. There are also delays on the A38 in Gloucester through to Coombe Hill as traffic avoided the M5 closure.
