M60 and M61 LIVE updates as lorry crash and fire cause delays on two motorways

Two incidents are causing delays across Greater Manchester's motorways. A crash involving a lorry and two cars is causing delays near Stockport this morning (February 14). Queues are stretching between junctions one at the Stockport Pyramid and 27 at Portwood on the anticlockwise carriageway.

Delays are building up in the direction of Cheadle, according to Google traffic data. Meanwhile, a lane has been closed following a vehicle fire on the M61 southbound near Bolton. The lane is shut between junctions four at Farnworth and three at the Kearsley Spur.

National Highways says 'lane closures' are in place, with delays of around 20 minutes. There is heavy traffic in the area, according to Google data. Further details about the two incidents are yet to be confirmed.
