A man has died following a collision in Leicestershire[1] which involved two cars and a stationary lorry.

Leicestershire Police[2] were called to the A4303 westbound in Lutterworth[3], close to the roundabout for junction 20 of the M1, just before 6pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 11).

The collision involved a silver Volkswagen Golf, a black Honda Civic and a white Scania lorry, which officers said was parked in a lay-by[4] at the time.

A man in his 30s, who was driving the Golf, was pronounced dead shortly after the incident occurred.

No arrests were made, and no further injuries[5] were reported to the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) paramedics in attendance.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

DC Madeleine Hayes, from Leicestershire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: "Enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened are continuing and I'd like anyone who can help but who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.

"I'm particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dashcam, who witnessed the collision or saw either the Golf or Civic beforehand.
