Man on trial accused of killing wife who jumped from bridge

Kimberley was previously known as Kimberley Bruce until the couple's marriage, nine months before her death.

Court papers state that on the day of the incident, Milne drove at speed, performed a handbrake turn, revved the engine of his car, span the wheels and drove erratically with his wife in the car.

It is claimed he then used the vehicle to block her path before he shouted and demanded she get back in the vehicle.

It is alleged Milne acted in an aggressive and intimidating manner towards Kimberley by placing his hands at either side of her head against a wall.

He is then said to have repeatedly shouted at his wife, threw an item against a wall near her, stood over her, seized hold of her and pulled her, caused her distress, fear and alarm, and followed her.

The charge says as a consequence of this, Kimberley climbed the barrier of an overpass and jumped down onto the eastbound A90 Kingsway West and was struck by motor vehicles.

It is lastly claimed he had previously evinced malice and ill will towards her.
