Police statement after multi-vehicle crash closed A1077 for several hours

A major North Lincolnshire road was closed for several hours on Thursday evening following a multi-vehicle crash. Part of the A1077 was shut between South Ferriby at the A15 Barton[1] interchange after the incident at around 5.30pm.

Humberside Police[2] have now issued a statement. A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a four-vehicle road traffic collision on the A1077 between South Ferriby and the junction with the A15 at approximately 5.30pm Thursday, 13 February.

"It is reported a red Ford Fiesta, black BMW X3, black Nissan Leaf and a white Ford Transit van were in collision on the A1077.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the driver of the Nissan and BMW were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not though to be life changing at this time.

"The road was closed to allow emergency services to operate effectively. This was lifted at around midnight."
