Police statement after two people seriously injured in Warwickshire crash

Police have issued a witness appeal following a nasty crash in Warwickshire[1]. Emergency services were called to Ettington on Thursday morning (12 February).

As previously reported[2], ambulance crews treated patients who had been removed from the vehicles involved in the incident.

Police are now investigating the incident and are keen to hear from anyone who might have seen it happen.

"We are looking for witnesses to a collision which took place on the A422 Banbury Road in Ettington on Thursday 12 February," a Warwickshire Police[5] spokesman said. "The drivers of a red Honda and a white Volkswagen van collided at just after 9am, near to a coffee shop.

"Both drivers have sustained serious injuries and are in hospital receiving treatment. If you can help us with our investigation, particularly if you have relevant dashcam, doorbell, or other footage, get in contact with us as soon as possible citing Incident 84 of 12 February.

"The investigation number is 23/6270/26.
