Rush-hour delays after crashes on four motorways

Morning commuters have faced long delays after crashes on four motorways.

National Highways said parts of the M6 have been shut northbound between junctions 32 and 33, south of Lancaster, after a crash before 06:00 GMT between two cars and a lorry.

There have also been problems on stretches of the M60, M62 and M56.

One lane has been closed on the M56 eastbound from junction 9 in Lymm, Cheshire, and junction 7 for Bowdon, Greater Manchester.
