Two hunted down and arrested after baby girl left seriously injured in horror M6 hit and run

Two suspects were hunted down after a baby girl was left seriously injured in a horror hit and run crash[1] on the M6. The baby suffered the injuries and was rushed to hospital after a Ford Transit van crashed[2] into two cars and a lorry off the M6.
Officers were called out to the northbound slip road at junction 29, in Bamber Bridge, at 4.25pm on Friday afternoon (February 13). A white Ford Transit hit three stationary vehicles before making off from the scene.

Lancashire[3] Police launched an investigation to trace the driver and passenger of the van. The force said it was 'concerned for their welfare' in a public appeal over the weekend.

In an update, it was confirmed that two men had been arrested in connection with the incident. The baby girl remains in hospital with serious injuries but her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
A 39 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Meanwhile, a 42 year old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed with conditions whilst police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson said: "We'd like to take this opportunity to remind you to please call 101 if you have any footage to share with us, and you'll be guided through the best way to do that.
Collisions involve real people at their most vulnerable time, and any footage captured should only be submitted to the Police, not shared online, or anywhere else.
