Emergency crews were called shortly before 2pm today (Monday) to a collision involving a car and a lorry. An ambulance service spokesperson said crews attended and assessed and treated the driver of the car for injuries, including to their hand and head, before taking them to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further medical treatment.

Just before 3.15pm, National Highways said emergency services, including the police, were in attendance. A spokesperson said: "Recovery of the involved vehicles is currently underway." National Highways warned of 45-minute delays and a diversion route is in place.

Traffic heading south is advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol.

The police and ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
