A225 Hawley Road shut between Wilmington and Dartford after crash
Emergency services have closed a road after a serious crash involving a child. The A225 Hawley Road is currently shut near Wilmington and Dartford after the youngester was hit by a van.

It is believed he fell from his bicycle before being struck. The air ambulance landed nearby and the youngster was flown to a London hospital with serious injuries.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 7.35am to collision involving a van and a child. "Officers and paramedics remain at the scene where the boy is being treated. His parents are also present.
"The road remains closed to traffic while inquiries into the circumstances are underway."The road has been closed between Warren Road and Oakfield Lane.

An ambulance spokesman added: "SECAmb were called at approximately 7.40am this morning to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. "Multiple crews attended the scene and assessed and treated one patient before being joined by the air ambulance.
