A46 crash near Lincoln live traffic updates as road closed in both directions

The A46 remained closed i[1]n both directions due to a fatal crash near Lincoln[2]. The emergency services, including the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, attended the scene of the collision, that happened shortly after 10am on Thursday, March 26. Lincolnshire Police[3] warned that the road was expected to remain closed for most of the day due to the incident and motorists should find alternative routes.
As of 3.30pm the road remained closed between Carholme Roundabout and the Doddington Road roundabout, and Skellingthorpe Road was also closed on both sides of the A46. The three-vehicle collision involved included a Volvo lorry carrying cows, a grey Honda Jazz and a white Ford Mondeo. Lincolnshire Police confirmed around 2.30pm that a man had died at the scene and his family had been informed.
