A tribute has been paid to a man killed in an HGV crash earlier this week. Police were sent to the scene on the A15 in North Lincolnshire at around 11.05am on Wednesday, March 4, where Dean Corbett, from Southport[1], had been involved in a serious crash.
Officers arrived at the scene between the Broughton interchange and the Hibaldstow turnoff following reports that a Ford Transit van travelling northbound had been involved in a crash with a Renault T-Series HGV, travelling southbound, as well as with a Volvo car transporter.
Despite the best efforts of emergency responders, 34-year-old Dean, who had been driving the Transit van, died as a result of his injuries.
In a statement issued by Humberside Police, his family said: "Beloved son, brother, uncle and boyfriend.
"Dean always had a smile on his face, had the funniest jokes to make people laugh, and would always have time for anyone no matter where he was in life.
"Dean was kind, caring and funny with a big heart. His passing has left a massive void in all of us.
He will be extremely missed."
Officers continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us on 101, quoting log number 129 of March 4, 2026.
