Ross McGill and Steven Lyons 'arrested in Bahrain'

Lyons family crime boss Steven Lyons, former Rangers Ultras leader Ross McGill and a female friend of McGill's are reported to have been held in the gulf state of Bahrain.
It's believed they were arrested over the weekend on the request of Police Scotland and an application is to be made for the pair to be returned to the UK.
An underworld source said: "They are being kept there until the cops over here can go out to Bahrain to bring them back."

Celtic Boys Club beast removed from house by cops

A former Celtic Boys Club[4] manager who indecently assaulted youth players [5]was removed by police after paedophile hunters confronted him at his home. Advertisement

Frank Cairney[6], 90, was led to a van by officers after vigilantes[7] protested outside the property in Viewpark, Lanarkshire.
Crowds gathered before Cairney [8]was driven away.
The incident [9]was filmed and live-streamed on social media with commentators heard shouting 'beast'[10] and 'dirty monster'.

Scots dad left with teeth fragments in skull slams sentence

A dad who was left in a coma after a driver ploughed into him in a catastrophic collision has slammed his "cushy" sentence.
Robert Cruickshank, 41, was left with life-threatening injuries after the horror incident in Peterhead[12] in Aberdeenshire on October 26, 2024.

George Paterson, the driver of the other car involved, collided with Cruickshank following a botched overtake on the A950 Mintlaw to Longside road.
Paterson, 66, who may be suffering from early signs of dementia, escaped a jail term when he was sentenced at Peterhead Sheriff Court[13] on Tuesday.
Instead he received a 167-hour community payback order and was banned from driving for 14 months.
