Delays in Chideock west Dorset following crash on A35

Main Street, the A35 in the village of Chideock, was blocked both ways between Muddyford Land in Morecombelake and the Clock Inn in Chideock. According to police, the road was blocked due to a lorry rolling backwards. Heavy traffic has been reported in the area, as the road was cleared around 8.50am.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 8.02am on Tuesday, March 17 that a lorry had rolled backwards and was blocking a lane on the A35 Chideock Hill.

"Officers attended to assist with traffic management while vehicle recovery was arranged.

"The road was clear by around 8.50am."
