Lorry driver arrested after one seriously injured in crash on A20 Roundhill Tunnel in Folkestone
A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a crash on a major route left a person requiring urgent hospital treatment. The incident happened at about 8.40pm yesterday on the A20, merging from the M20, between Cheriton, Folkestone, and the Roundhill Tunnel towards Dover and Hawkinge.

Police have now launched an appeal after the driver of a Peugoet 308 was rushed to hospital after a colliion with a white MAN articulated lorry. Both were travelling in the same direction.
A spokesman for the force said: "Officers and paramedics attended. The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital where he remains receiving treatment for multiple injuries. "The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital as a precaution before being arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
"The 52-year-old man remains in custody. The road reopened around 1.45am on Wednesday (March 4).

Officers investigating the incident are urging any witnesses, including those who saw either vehicle prior to the collision, and anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police should call 01843 222289 quoting 03-1478.
An ambulance service spokeswoman added: "We were called at approximately 8.40pm yesterday evening to reports of a collision involving a car and a lorry on the A20 in Folkestone.
"Multiple crews attended the scene and assessed and treated one patient for injuries, including to their head, before taking them to William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment."
