M2 London-bound entry slip road and two lanes on the A249 Maidstone-bound reopen at the Stockbury roundabout, Sittingbourne
Drivers faced delays after a lorry lost its load and there was a crash at a busy roundabout. The two incidents happened at Stockbury roundabout, near Sittingbourne[1].

The London-bound entry at junction 5 Stockbury roundabout, near Sittingbourne, was closed, following a lorry losing its load. It has since reopened.
Pictures taken from the scene just after 2pm showed the load spread across the slip road. Fresh images, taken just before 4pm, show a forklift at the scene. Motorists' nearest option to get onto the M2 were north via the A2 towards Chatham junction, or south towards Maidstone at the M20 junction.
Kent County Council Highways told drivers to "approach with caution and expect delays in the area".

It added that the recovery is in progress. In a separate incident, at around 2.45pm, there was a crash between the roundabout and South Green Lane.
Emergency services were sent to the scene, and two lanes heading towards Maidstone closed, but have since reopened.

Paramedics assessed and treated a person before taking them to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment. Officers also attended.
