Man killed and another injured in M6 crash

A man has been killed and another was seriously injured in a crash on the M6 in Cheshire.
A white Renault van and a crane truck crashed on the northbound carriageway between junctions 16 for Crewe and 17 for Sandbach shortly after 19:40 GMT on Tuesday.
The passenger in the van, a 34-year-old man from Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene, Cheshire Police confirmed.
The van's driver, a 30-year-old man, also from Manchester, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
