A 28-year-old pedestrian has been taken to Stoke-on-Trent's main hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' after being struck by a car. Emergency services were called to the collision at the junction of the A34 Newcastle Road and Clough Hall Drive, in Talke[1].

The alarm was raised at 6.22pm last night.

StokeonTrentLive is still awaiting a statement from Staffordshire Police[2] following the collision. But West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] has confirmed it sent an ambulance and a doctor to the crash scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision.

On arrival, crews found a man who they treated for potentially serious injuries before he was conveyed under emergency driving conditions to the Royal Stoke University Hospital[4]."
