Two casualties in Royal Stoke after crash shut road for TEN HOURS

Two crash victims have been taken to Stoke-on-Trent's main hospital. Emegency services closed a section of the A519 Newport Road, in Woodseaves, for 10 hours following the two-vehicle collision.
It involved a car and a van. The collision was reported at 9.27pm on Friday 13 March.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service[1] spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a van at the junction of Black Lane and the A519 through Woodseaves.

The passenger, a woman, sustained serious injuries and was extricated with help from fire colleagues before she received trauma care from ambulance staff. Once stabilised, she was conveyed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The driver, a man, was also conveyed to the same hospital for precautionary checks."
