A55 lane closures after lorry crashes into barriers

The crash happened on Tuesday, April 7 on the Westbound carriageway, just after the Conwy Tunnel. Traffic Wales have confirmed that Lane Two will remain closed today (April 8) throughout Wednesday at J17 Conwy to allow repair works to take place. ?

"Please plan ahead when travelling." The lane closures were in place on Tuesday evening. North Wales Police were alerted to the accident just before 8am on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called on Tuesday at 7.49am to reports of a road traffic collision involving several vehicles on the Westbound carriageway of the A55 just after the Conwy Tunnel." Alongside North Wales Police, Traffic Wales and Welsh Ambulance Service University Health Trust attended the scene. Welsh Ambulance Service was approached for comment.
Conwy Tunnel was closed to allow recovery to take place.
