Biker dies after A-road crash near farm
Members of the public and paramedics tried to save him

A motorcyclist from Gloucester has died following a crash with a van on an A-road near Maisemore.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.50pm yesterday (April 16) after receiving a report of a collision involving a motorbike and a Ford Transit van on the A417 near Overton Farm.
Gloucestershire Police said the motorcyclist, a man from Gloucester, sustained serious injuries and, despite the best efforts of members of the public and paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the van was assessed by paramedics and did not sustain any serious injuries.
