Delays back to bridge at Dartford Crossing after tanker crash

Long delays are being reported at the Dartford Crossing following an accident involving a tanker, a lorry and two cars. The A282 is closed clockwise at Junction 1 for Dartford due to the crash, which has caused tailbacks over the QEII bridge into Essex. The vehicles have been removed, but the road is now being cleaned following an oil spillage.

National Highways explained in a post on X: "This is due to a traffic collision.

There are delays of up to 40 minutes, with 7 miles of congestion."
