Officers in Glasgow have launched a manhunt for a driver who fled the scene of a crash near the M8 in the southside.

The collision occurred on Dumbreck Road just off the motorway slip road at around 3pm on Tuesday (April 21).

The crash involved a white Ford Fiesta and a black Kia Niro, and there were no reported injuries.

The driver of the Fiesta made off on foot, and police[1] enquiries are ongoing to trace them.

It is understood that the Fiesta had been driven on London Road before the crash, and then entered the northbound carriageway of the M74[2], onto the M8 westbound.

It then left the motorway at junction 23 where the crash happened, police have confirmed.

Officers are also keen to speak to the driver of a silver Toyota Hi Ace van that was seen at the time as it is hoped they may be able to assist with the investigation.
