Key Gloucestershire A-road closed after serious crash
A KEY Gloucestershire road is closed and emergency services are at the scene amid a serious crash.
Gloucestershire police[1] said emergency services are at the scene on the A417 near Maisemore.
Police were called at around 3.50pm today (Thursday, April 16) to a report of a collision involving two vehicles.
Google Maps indicates there has been an accident in the Over Roundabout area.
Meanwhile, the AA's Traffic news map reports a blocked road and queueing traffic on the A417 both ways from Hiam's Lane to Blacksmiths Lane in Maisemore because of a crash involving a van and a motorbike, although this was apparently first reported at around 3pm today.
The A417 is currently shut in both directions in the Maisemore area between Over Roundabout, located on the edge of Gloucester, and Hartpury.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
