Lorry driver admits causing football coach’s death

A lorry driver has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a football coach in a crash on the M20.
Zvonko Tomisa, 57, admitted causing death by dangerous driving after Arran McManus, 36, was killed when two lorries collided with his Nissan Qashqai near Lenham, Kent, in November 2025.
Tomisa, from Croatia, will be sentenced on 18 May at Maidstone Crown Court, having initially pleaded not guilty to the offence in January.
McManus was a coach at Kennington Football Club, with the club previously paying tribute to his "infectious enthusiasm for coaching and helping people"[1].
