Photos have been captured of a flipped car on Fishponds Road, Eastville[1], this morning (Sunday, April 26) following reports from local residents of hearing a 'loud bang'.
One local described the scene and told BristolLive: "I heard a loud bang. I was trying to sleep at the time. All I saw outside was a car flipped over on its side."
The resident went on to claim: "There were two people, a man and woman who were clearly intoxicated and they fled the crash.
By the looks of it, the car was coming around the corner and hit another parked car and it ended up flipped over on its side."
BristolLive has contacted Avon and Somerset Police[2] for more information.
The witness said the incident happened at around 3.10am on Sunday morning.
Video footage also captured the moment the car was flipped back onto its wheels by the recovery team, who arrived with a flatbed truck with lights.

Meanwhile a police officer and a recovery worker, both dressed in hi-vis jackets, could be seen opening the boot of the car and shining a torch to get a look inside, in one video.
From images, the crash appears to have taken place next to a bus stop along the A432 Fishponds Road, just before the turning onto School Close further down the hill, some metres from The Queen's Head pub.
During the day, this road is usually busy with motorists and leads down to the popular Eastgate Retail Park[3] and IKEA[4].
