Man seriously injured after ‘terrifying’ Cheshire road rage attack

A man has been left with serious injuries after a road rage attack in Cheshire. Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the "terrifying" incident in Hartford.
At some point between 2pm and 3pm on Friday, March 20, a 31-year-old man was driving a silver Ford Transit van on the westbound carriageway of the A556. As he passed over the Blue Bridge he was undertaken by a small van which repeatedly braked in front of him.

As they approached the Hartford traffic lights, the driver of the smaller van then stopped in the middle of the carriageway, blocking the road. He then exited his vehicle and confronted the victim.
Following a short verbal altercation, the victim was repeatedly punched in the face, causing serious injuries. Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.
Detective Constable Adam Worth, of Northwich[1] CID said: "This was a terrifying incident for the victim, and we're committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.
The A556 is a busy road and as part of our enquiries we are keen to hear from anyone who believed they may have witnessed the incident.
The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation."
