Man seriously injured in crash that shut road for 16 hours

A man has been arrested after a crash between a motorcyclist and a van left the motorcyclist seriously injured.
Police were called alongside paramedics to reports of a crash on the A479 near to Bronllys at around 2.30pm on Tuesday. A man suffered serious injuries and he remains in hospital at this time.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and has been released by police under investigation.
The road was closed between Bronllys and Penmaes for several hours before it reopened at around 7am on Wednesday, April 1.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a van and a motorcycle, which took place on the A479 near to Bronllys at approximately 2.30pm on March 31.
"One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
"A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and has been released under investigation.
"The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, and has now been re-opened."
