Road shut after teens seriously injured in crash

Drivers have been warned that a section of the A23 remains closed on Friday following a multi-vehicle crash which caused "serious injuries".

Emergency services responded to the incident, which included two cars and a lorry, on the key trunk road's northbound carriageway at Albourne at about 22:15 BST on Thursday.

The driver of a blue Ford Fiesta, a 17-year-old boy, and a 19-year-old man, both from East Grinstead, were taken to hospital, along with another man, 19, from Copthorne.

The driver of a Ford Puma, a 46-year-old woman from Horsham, also sustained injuries, while the lorry driver, a 57-year-old man from Swindon, escaped unhurt.
