A serious crash involving a van has sparked a major emergency response near a busy Motherwell road.

Locals reported long tailbacks around the Clyde bridge at Strathclyde Park on Saturday afternoon, with posts in the Motherwell Past and Present community group warning drivers that "traffic [is] not moving coming off M74 and from Hamilton" and urging people to "avoid".
