Stoke-on-Trent A50 gridlock as lorry and car in rush-hour crash
It brought the dual-carriageway to a stop

Police were sent to a rush-hour smash between a truck and a car that brought a stretch of the A50 to a halt. The collision occurred on the eastbound stretch through Normacot at around 7am.
The incident saw the carriageway come to a halt as queues crept back past Longton. Now Staffordshire Police have confirmed no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed paramedics were not sent.
A force spokeswoman said: "We were called to the A50 near Normacot following reports of a collision.
A truck and a car were involved in the collision, in the direction of Blythe Bridge.
Both drivers were out of the vehicles as officers arrived.
No injuries have been reported."
